Our Team - Dance & Musical Theater Faculty
Nancy Huey is a professional musician and educator specializing in sharing music and theater with children of all ages. Since graduating from DePauw University with a BA in Elementary Education, she has taught in elementary classrooms and music departments, and has taught and directed in both junior high and high school drama programs.
In 1999, Ms. Huey envisioned and founded the St. John’s Performing Arts Troupe, a drama/ musical theater group for sixth, seventh and eighth grade students, and still serves as director for the troupe.
Nancy is also a certified Musikgarten teacher, and currently teaches early childhood music as well as private lessons from her home studio.
Steve Irwin has more than 20 years of professional experience as a dancer, instructor and choreographer. He has performed throughout the world on cruise ships, at dinner theaters and theme parks, and in local and regional theater. Irwin’s teaching and choreography credits include Northern Kentucky University, Governor’s School of the Arts, Cincinnati Ballet, Contemporary Dance Theater, Playhouse in the Park and ArtsWave.
At the Wyoming Fine Arts Center, in addition to Hip Hop dance, Steve is a well-known face during our many Summer Musical Theater camps, where he is one of the 2 directors, in charge of choreography.
