About the Instructor

Valerie has been an instructor with The Center for 18 years.

Valerie received her Bachelor of Music from SUNY Potsdam, and her Master of Science in Education with a concentration in music education from the University of Dayton.. Suzuki Piano Teacher Training, levels 1 through 6, was pursued at Capital University. Further professional development includes Kodaly music education from the Kodaly Institute at Silver Lake College, and Orff –Schulwerk music education. Additionally, Valerie is a licensed and certified Musikgarten instructor.

Additionally, Valerie is a licensed and certified Musikgarten instructor. As an Ohio certified teacher of Music Education, K-12, she has taught in both public and private schools. Her professional experiences also include over 20 years as a liturgical choir director, choral accompanist, and ballet school accompanist.
